The program recognizes farms and ranches that have been operated continuously by members of the same family for at least 100 years.
A ceremony for the 102 farms and ranches honored this year was held last month in the House Chamber of the Texas State Capital in Austin.
"For more than a century these families have made agriculture a way of life, establishing Texas as a nationwide leader in an ever demanding agricultural industry," Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples says.
"It's because of their unwavering dedication that Texas agriculture is the $100 billion powerhouse it is today," he adds.
The Freestone county ranch was founded in 1905 by William C. and Bobbe Glazener and has been operated over the years by Karen Glazener Boyd, Kitty Glazener Devine and Kathy Glazener Copeland.
To date, more than 4,300 Texas farms and ranches in 233 counties have been recognized by the program.
Cowboy poet and entertainer Red Steagall performed at the ceremony in Austin and Ron Oliveira, a well know Texas broadcaster, served as master of ceremonies.
Also recognized from the area was Erskine Family Farms in Limestone county, founded in 1906.
