Punter Picked All State

FAIRFIELD EAGLES GRIDDER Nick Baker is named to first team All-State in Class AAA as punter. The senior student adds the honor to his selections this year as first team All-District punter and kicker.
- Fairfield Eagles punter Nick Baker has been named to the Associated Press first team state defense in Class AAA.
Baker, a senior student, adds the first team state award to his selection as District 19-AAA first team punter and first team kick honors for the 2007 football season.
He was named All-District first team punter in 2006, also.
Baker, whose expertise was called upon often the past two years, averaged 46.5 yards per punt this season, and he never had a punt blocked.
The 17-year-old was born in Lafayette, La., and moved with his family to Fairfield during his eighth grade year.
