HARRIET CASTILE
- Harriet Melviney Castile

Funeral services were held this week for Harriet Melviney Castile, 100, of Wortham who died Friday, Jan. 18 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia.
Mrs. Castile was born in Bremond on Oct. 30, 1907.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Antioch Baptist Church in Mexia with Rev. Cleo High and Tas Betts officiating.
Internment followed at the Wortham Cemetery.
Mrs. Castile is survived by grandchildren Marcia A. Weathers and husband Elmer (Bubba) of Mexia, Claraness Washington and husband Thelbert of Hewitt, Joyce Bradford and husband Roy of Corsicana, Derrick Anthony Castile of Corsicana and Danny Michael Castile and wife Zoleta of Mexia; 19 great grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Doc Mato Castile.

Mary Emma English

Funeral services were held last month for Mary Emma English, 85, of Carthage who died Wednesday, Dec. 19.
Mrs. English was born in Nacogdoches on March 19, 1922 and taught fifth grade at Galena Park in Houston.
She later married Raymond English and was a devoted member of Wood Forest Presbyterian church.
Services were held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Nacogdoches.
Mrs. English is survived by stepson Jimmy English of Fairfield; step granddaughter Mary Opal Lucas; stepmother Louise Burk of Carthage; and special friend and caregiver Johnnie Mason Harrison of Carthage.
She is preceded in death by husband Raymond English.
Arrangements by Hawthorn Funeral Home of Carthage.


Jason L. Mooneyhan

Funeral sercives were held last week for Jason Lee Mooneyhan, 25, of Fairfield who died Thursday, Jan. 10 in Montgomery county.
Mr. Mooneyhan was born in Palestine on October 5, 1982.
Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Suits, II officiating.
Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were L.J. McAdams, David Pickens, Clint Pickens, Tony Adkins, Clark Fryer, Chris Whiteside, Chad Hagen, Josh Holcombe and Allen Lott.
Honorary pallbearer was Yates Manahan.
Mr. Mooneyhan is survived by wife Cydni Mooneyhan of Huntsville; daughter Alexis Mooneyhan of Seagoville; mother Decklann Phillips of Oakwood; father Billy Mooneyhan and wife Kitty of Conroe; paternal grandmother Joyce Lewis of Corsicana; maternal grandparents James and Oma Loretta Killough; nephews Xavier Brackens and Michael Busby, both of Wortham and Taylor Alexander of Conroe; and niece Bailey Alexander of Conroe.
He is preceded in death by his stepfather Glen W. Phillips.

Earl E. Park, Jr.

Funeral services were held Monday for Earl. E. Park, Jr., 78, of Teague who died Friday, Jan. 18 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia.
Mr. Park was born in Houston on Nov. 18, 1929.
He served in the Marine Corp during World War II and was employed with Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad in Houston until retiring in November of 1989.
Mr. Park was a member of the Masonic lodge and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 21 at Bowers Funeral Home with Dale Lehfeldt officiating.
He is survived by wife Betty Park of Teague; daughter Patricia Terry of Teague; grandchildren Ramicia Moreno and fiancé William Brunson of Abilene, Michael Jeffery Quest of Teague and James Alan Fuller, Jr. of Houston; great grandchildren Hector Alejandro Gaitan, Jr. and fiancé Victoria Hunter of Ferris, Julia Ann Moreno and Jacob Alan Moreno of Abilene; and great great grandson Anthony Elian Moreno of Red Oak.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Hospital.
